My Ford does not start – Fuel Pump Shut-Off Switch

The purpose of the Fuel Pump Shut-Off Switch is too reduce the risk of fire after a car accident, which is being achieved by cutting the power to the fuel pump after a substantial shock. To override/reset the Fuel Pump Shut-Off Switch, you must turn the ignition off, and then make sure that the fuel system is not leaking. After that, you must press the reset button, which is located in the front passenger’s footwall, behind the kick panel access cover, and then wait about 10 seconds. Finally, you should start the engine, and make another preventive check for fuel leaks.
