Ford for today and for the future

On 8 March 1911, Ford Motor Company Limited opened its first office in London on Shaftesbury Avenue. Since then, we’re proud to say that Ford has become the most popular car maker in the UK. So to everyone who has ever driven a Ford, we’d just like to say thank you.

For 100 years, we’ve led the way in automotive firsts. From innovations such as Lane Departure Warning on the all new Focus, to Active Park Assist on the all new C-MAX, we’ve never stopped pioneering new technologies. At Ford, we’re committed to making our cars safer, smarter, more efficient and more attainable for everyone.

Here are just some examples of the innovation you can experience today, and where Ford is going for the future.
Experience what SYNC and MyFord™ can do
There was a live demonstration on the Ford stand of what SYNC and MyFord™ can do. Showing how technology can help find you the best tourist spots or book a table at a local restaurant – all without having to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road.

MyFord™ acts as a WiFi receiver, letting you connect to the Internet when you are safely parked. You can also interact with your car‘s key functions by using either an amazing 8" touchscreen, the steering wheel toggles or via SYNC – the advanced voice recognition system that recognises an impressive 10,000 commands. It can read out texts for you, remind you about meetings in your diary and allows you to control the stereo, climate, navigation, media player and phone with a simple voice command.

Electric vehicles

Ford's first ever passenger car with zero CO2 emissions is coming to Europe. The all new Focus Electric is designed to deliver 100% fuel-free motoring, without compromising the car’s dynamic driving experience. Its suite of smart driver information will transform the way drivers think about energy usage.
